Steampunk is the becoming one of the most popular genres for creative inspiration. Don't know what steampunk is? You can go check out some definitions
here and
here. I like to think of steampunk as the combination of futuristic sci-fi and period (generally 19th century and Victorian era) inspired clothing and societies, along with all that great inventive industry from the 19th century. It's as if everyone you could imagine from the Chicago World's Fair arriving somewhere in the future. However you want to define it, you can't deny it's sort of awesome!
I caught wind a while ago that steampunk was entering the crafting scene with full force, but I am not surprised to see it being used as inspiration in other areas of pop culture.

I find the whole Steampunk thing very strange & uncomfortable :( I will not be jumping on this band wagon!
I had never heard of it but it looks a abit too magical for my liking.
Nice catch of steampunk's pop culture products :) I quoted this article on my Storify scribble here: http://t.co/tkLwdKSy Hope you don't mind. And oh, I prefer Cyberpunk to Steampunk, actually.
