Where Have I Been?

This morning I read a concerned email from Katie over at ktmade. She was worried that I haven't posted since I told you all I was under the weather, and was concerned about how I was doing. I was so touched that a blogger friend would think to check up on me, that I realized I should update you all on what's up.

When I posted that I was feeling under the weather, I was hoping I would feel better in a day or two. Little did I know that a nasty case of bronchitis was taking up residence in my respiratory system. I spent my entire spring break feeling miserable and resting on the couch. I had no appetite, so getting the nutritious foods I needed to help me get better was a challenge. The pile of pills and the inhaler I was prescribed by the doctor all did their part, but my symptoms were still varied and awful. My least favorite being the intense headaches. I didn't really care for the body aches and fevers either.

While I was basically on bed rest, Sam and I watched a LOT of movies and television. I haven't seen that many bad 80s movies in a while! I also watched Alice in Wonderland on television 3 different times. We did get out of the house during the break to go see The Lorax. It was such a great movie, I almost cried! I was feeling a lot better at this point, and was hoping the sickness was going to be behind me any day.

Well, spring break came to a close on Sunday, and I was still not better. How long was this seriously going to last?!? I was still having a hard time eating a decent meal, and night time was the worst. I was so tired that getting to sleep was no problem, but I would wake up suffocating on that nasty phlegm (sorry TMI) and coughing my head off. That would go on for hours every night.

Fast forward to today... the cough has moved from the deep part of my chest up to my throat area. I still have a lot of congestion and headaches, but my energy levels are improving. I'm trying to shove food down as often as a can. I would really like to know how many gallons of water I have consumed in the past two weeks.

I am hoping that this thing is really on its way out and that I'll be feeling 100% again ASAP. I can't remember the last time I was this sick. I feel like such a wimp. My body was really knocked out by this. I just really hope that Sam can stay healthy until this is all gone, because I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

So, now that you know what's been up, I'm sure you can see how with trying to recover and staying up with school work, I haven't been very present in blogland. I hope you will forgive me. I plan to get a few posts up this week if I can. I will be back and all better before you know it! I hope you are all having a fantastic spring!

I have been thinking about you lots! I even thought I should send you my Vicks humidifier so you could use it at night. Sounds like I might still should. Please let me know if I can do anything for you. Tell Sam he is the best for taking care of my Kara. :D
