Fruit and Nut Trail Mix

Right now it is Friday and we are finishing packing for our camping trip, but when you are reading this it is Saturday, and I'm hopefully leisurely lounging in a hammock somewhere in the mountains. Jealous? You should be!

Whether you are heading to the mountains soon or you just wish you were, here's a trail mix recipe that will knock your socks off.

It's super simple, because everything is just one cup measurements. *Cue in the Staples button* "That was easy!"

Fruit and Nut Trail Mix
Makes 7 1Cup Servings

1 Cup Cashews
1 Cup Almonds
1 Cup Walnuts
1 Cup Dried Banana Chips
1 Cup Dried Cranberries
1 Cup Dried Cherries
1 Cup (or less if you're being good) Chocolate Chips (dark or milk chocolate)
Extra Salt (if you're being bad)

Just mix the ingredients thoroughly and store in a cool dry place. We will be storing ours in the cooler at the campsite, since we're outside and don't want the chocolate chips to melt. I added extra salt to ours, because I'm being bad, and because my nuts weren't salted. If yours are salted, you might want to taste it first.

Try this out with any modifications that suit your fancy. I think I'm going to add coconut next time!
