Quick Tip Tuesday
Polish With Lemon and Oil

Recently I read an extremely helpful book called Mrs. Meyer's Clean Home: No-Nonsense Advice That Will Inspire You to Clean Like the Dickens. It is full of cleaning and organization tips from Mrs. Meyers herself. She raised nine kids and was cleaning her home back in the day with real elbow grease and willpower.

One of my favorite tips from Mrs. Meyers was the idea of home-made furniture polish. All you do is mix a little {lemon juice} with some {olive oil}. She says if you want to know how much olive oil or lemon juice to mix, just use your common sense. Then you use a soft rag to rub it into the wooden surface. I tried it out on the dingy wood in our bathroom and was very pleased with the results. It has lasted for months!
