Make Your Own 2 Subject Notebook

Today is the first day of school! I don't have any classes on campus today, but I do have two online classes to work on. I have found that online classes take up far less space in my notebooks than campus classes. Maybe it's because most of my work can be saved on the computer instead of being handwritten. This year, I decided not to buy two separate notebooks for online, but rather convert a 1 subject notebook into a 2 subject!

Did you know that a 1 subject notebook has the same number of pages as a 3 subject? The 3 subjects cost more because they have added the pocket dividers. Why not buy a 1 subject notebook and create your own dividers! All you need is a notebook, two pieces of 8 1/2" X 11" cardstock, and a tape-runner (or other strong bond adhesive).

The first step for a 2 subject notebook is to open the notebook to the middle (a rough guess is fine). Apply a generous amount of adhesive all along the edges and middle of 1 sheet of cardstock.

Adhere the cardstock and 1 sheet of notebook paper together. Repeat the same steps with the other side. You are just sandwiching the notebook paper between the cardstock to give it extra strong support.

And there you have it! One divided notebook. You can add as many sections as you would like. You can use patterned cardstock or decorate your own. You could even add a pocket if you need one. In my notebook, I covered the holes, but if you need them open just hole punch your cardstock first and then line the holes up.

Why spend the money on a 3 subject notebook when you can just make your own cute dividers at home?
